What is the Trumbull Academy Summer Select Soccer program?
Working together, Trumbull AYSO and Trumbull United Soccer Clubs have started this new program to meet the growing demand for soccer over the summer! Sessions will be ran by professional coaches from the Tri-Town Soccer Academy.
What does the program consist of?
The program consists of twice-a-week soccer foot skill trainings (on Tuesday and Thursday evenings) for 8 weeks.
Additionally, we are allowing players to choose individual options as we understand that families have vacation/summer plans.
Options:
1. Full Summer Package - 16 sessions (14 sessions guaranteed)
2. Partial Summer Package - 8 sessions
What is the cost of each program?
Full Summer Package is $375
Partial Summer Package is $225
Please note: AYSO’s $20 National membership and insurance fee is not included in the above prices and will be added if you have not already done so for the 2023/2024 soccer year.
If your player has already participated in an AYSO program for the Fall 2023/Spring 2024 year (Such as Rec Soccer, Winter Futsal, Trumbull Soccer Academy) then you will not have to pay the $20 fee again this year.
Sports Connect $2.75 processing fee also not included in the above prices.
Also, we are not responsible for costs transportation to/from/during any of the Trumbull Academy Summer Select sessions.
What are the details for the weekday foot skill trainings?
Foot skill trainings will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Indian Ledge Park on the turf field* (location subject to change) starting on Tuesday June 18th through August August 15th.
The only exceptions are:
Tuesday July 2nd - jamboree ran by Tri-Town Soccer
Thursday July 4th - no session
16 sessions total (14 sessions guaranteed in the event of inclement weather).
Sessions will be broken up by age group (birth year):
2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 - 5pm-6:15pm
2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 - 6:30pm-7:45pm
Do we need to buy uniforms?
All players registered will receive a practice jersey, which is already included in the registration cost.
What gear should my player bring?
1) All players must bring plenty of water to every session!
2) Shin guards must be worn at every session.
3) Cleats (or turfs for the foot skill training sessions at Indian Ledge)
4) Players should bring a soccer ball to every session.
5) Players should come with lots of energy and smiles!!!
My family has vacation plans and will be away for a week this summer. Can you prorate me or give me a rebate for the week that we are away?
No. However, you can chose the “partial package” and choose which 8 sessions you want to attend.
Do you offer discounts to families with multiple siblings?
No.
My players are not Trumbull residents, are they allowed to participate?
No. The Trumbull Academy Summer Select Soccer program requires that 100% of participants are Trumbull residents. Proof of residency must be presented if requested. Anyone not providing proof of residency when requested or falsifying their residency status will not be allowed to participate and will not be entitled to any type of refund.
What if I register and then my summer plans change and I need a refund?
Due to upfront costs and fixed costs to run the Summer Select program, the refund policy for the Summer Select program is:
The $20 AYSO National Membership and Insurance fee is non-refundable.
The $2.75 SportsConnect Processing fees are non-refundable.
Additionally, there will be a $35 refund processing fee per player.
If you request a refund prior to June 20th, you will receive the balance of the program that you paid for minus the above-listed fees.
If you request a refund after June 20th, you will receive the balance of 50% of the program that you paid for minus the above-listed fees.
